Database access
Applications often need to read from and write to a data store. There are two distinct use cases:
  1. 1.
You have an existing data store that you want to read from or write to within your worklet
  2. 2.
Your application needs a new data model to be created and for Code block nodes to write to and read from it
For (1) BaseTen allows you to connect to existing data stores (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redis) and makes it easy to access them in your Code block nodes. And for (2) BaseTen allows you to define your own custom data model and access it for reads and writes using a) SQLAlchemy within your code blocks and b) direct SQL — all without having to manage the database yourself.
